Breaking the ‘6-year’ jinx… Victory could take them up to 3rd place ‘On the rise’ Incheon to catch 2nd place Pohang

With a win, they can leapfrog up to third place.

Incheon United welcomes the Pohang Steelers to its stadium for the 29th round of the Hana OneQ K League 1 2023 at the Incheon Football Stadium at 7 p.m. on Feb. 2.

Incheon is in sixth place, the final Final A spot, with 40 points. Only two points separate third-place Gwangju FC and fourth-place Jeonbuk Hyundai (42+). They are tied on points with fifth-place FC Seoul (50), but are behind in goals scored (33).

With the points gap so tight, we’ll have to wait and see how the round plays out, but with three points, Jeonbuk should be able to secure a Final A spot.

First, they will try to break their winless streak against Pohang at home. Incheon hasn’t beaten Pohang at home since a 2-0 win on August 20, 2017. In six years, they are 3-5-0 at home. Their only win over Pohang this season came on the road.

The atmosphere couldn’t be better. Incheon have won seven, drawn two and lost one of their last 10 official matches. They are on the rise in the league as well as the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League (ACL). They played a league game against Suwon FC just three days after their ACL playoffs (PO) last week, and came away with a thrilling 2-1 theater win.

Mugosha, Hernandez, and Gerso came on in the second half to save stamina and get the win.

The team has scored eight goals in the last five games, showing off its firepower.

According to Incheon, more than 6,000 people have already booked tickets for the match. This is the third highest number this season. The team hopes to utilize the momentum from the home game to break the jinx against Pohang. 온라인카지노

Pohang is also a tough opponent. Second-placed Pohang (50 points), the only real challenger to ‘leader’ Ulsan Hyundai, is unbeaten in its last seven matches (three wins and four draws). They’re playing unbeaten soccer and racking up points.

In addition, Hong Yun-sang, who returned to Pohang after playing in Germany, has scored goals in two consecutive games. Pohang coach Kim Ki-dong smiled as he said, “We showed a satisfactory performance.”

The head-to-head record between the two teams this season is 1-1. Incheon won the first match 2-0 in April, and Pohang won the second match 1-0 in June.

All eyes will be on Pohang as they look to defend their second-place finish and Incheon as they fight for Final A stability.
