The storm after the withdrawal of the disciplinary pardon by the Korea Football Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association), which caused the skit, does not seem to subside. On the 28th of last month, the association made a decision to pardon 100 soccer players under disciplinary action through the second board meeting. At the time, the association explained that it reflected field opinions for the achievements of the World Cup and for harmony and a new start in the soccer world. After three days, a temporary board meeting was held to withdraw the pardon decision. Late on the night of the 3rd, the association’s vice presidents and all 28 board members announced their resignation, starting with Vice Chairman Lee Young-pyo, Vice Chairman Lee Dong-guk, and Social Contribution Chairman Cho Won-hee, who had been silent about the decision.
