‘Maknae Team’ Cheonan City FC launch ceremony, full-scale journey towards the future begins

Cheonan City FC, the youngest club, announced the start of a new challenge in earnest. On the 21st, the club held a ceremony at the Bongseo Hall of Cheonan City Hall. Cheonan citizens and football fans conveyed their determination and will to enter the first season on the professional stage.

The ceremony was attended by key local figures such as Cheonan City Mayor Park Sang-don, the club owner, Lee Jong-dam, Cheonan City Council Vice Chairman Lee Jeong-moon, National Assembly member Lee Jung-moon, Cheonan City Sports Association President Han Nam-gyo, and Cheonan City Senior Citizens Association President Yoo Hong-joon. Coach Nam-yeol Park, professional players, youth players and their families were also present. Above all, various guests, including Cheonan citizens, fans, and multicultural families, gathered together to celebrate the new beginning of Cheonan.

At this meeting, the club introduced the uniforms to be worn by the team for the new season and the emblem to be engraved on the uniforms. The team, led by coach Park, met and greeted the fans for the first time. Some players, including playing coach Kim Chang-soo, narrowed the distance with the citizens at a fan signing event. The slogan, ‘One Spirit, One Mission, One Future’, which contains the club’s vision, was also unveiled. In his official speech, Mayor Park said, “I am very happy and honored to be able to challenge myself on the professional stage. I hope that players will instill strength and courage in our citizens through confident competition, passionate and fair games. Cheonan City will spare no interest and support so that it can establish itself as a professional team that receives love and support from citizens.”

Director Park said, “I have a deep relationship with Cheonan City. I hope for a lot of interest and support.”

Cheonan takes its first step in history, starting with the opening match of the ‘Hanawon Q K League 2 2023’ against Busan I’Park on March 1st at Cheonan Sports Complex.
