“Ronaldo doesn’t want me.”
Colombian midfielder Juan Cuadrado, 35, has eliminated Saudi Arabia from his summer plans.
In an interview with Spanish outlet AS on Sept. 9, he said, “At this moment, I still have passion. I love to compete. It’s just that Ronaldo is down there, and he doesn’t want me.”
Quadrado has won two titles with Cristiano Ronaldo. After a two-season loan spell at Juventus and a permanent move in the summer of 2017, Quadrado and Ronaldo struck up a friendship on and off the field after the latter moved from Real Madrid to Juventus the following summer. 토토사이트주소
That friendship looked set to be rekindled in Saudi Arabia. That’s because Quadrado was a free agent after his time at Juventus. He hasn’t announced his retirement, and he’s even looking to play in the 2026 North and Central American World Cup.
On joining the Saudi league, Quadrado said, “I thought about what was best for me, removing Saudi Arabia as an option. My agent, Andrei Martinez, was in Europe and he just arrived to talk to me about different situations. There are definitely options, and we will analyze what is best,” he said.
He added: “I’ve been playing at the highest level for eight years. I can only thank God. I dreamed of it, but I didn’t expect to stay in Serie A for so long.”
“I hope that future Colombian players who move to places like Juventus and AC Milan will be able to leave this kind of legacy,” he added.
